In 2005 a group of students founded Iceland’s first AI society; the Icelandic Society for Intelligence Research (ISIR). Among their efforts was a wiki-website called ISIRWiki intended for collecting information on AI; the website grew fast and quickly became the most comprehensive online resource for Icelandic information on AI.

Now we are pleased to announce that IIIM has offered to host ISIRWiki. The ISIRWiki is a great asset to the Icelandic AI community, aiding and documenting both academic and industrial work in this area. It is now back online and viewable on the ISIR website.

Árið 2005 tóku nokkrir ungir nemendur sig saman og stofnuðu Félag Íslands um gervigreind og vitvísindi (e. Icelandic Society for Intelligence Research, ISIR), fyrsta íslenska félagið tileinkað áhugamönnum um gervigreind. Meðal verkefna þeirra var ISIRWiki; wiki vefur sem geymdi upplýsingar á íslensku um gervigreind og tengdar fræðigreinar. ISIRWiki óx hratt og er í dag umfangsmesta safn okkar Íslendinga á vefnum þegar kemur að gervigreind.

Það er sönn ánægja að tilkynna að IIIM hefur boðist til að hýsa ISIRWiki. ISIRWiki er mikilvæg stoð við gervigreindarrannsóknir hérlendis; við söfnun upplýsinga og skráningu á framvindu gervigreindar í fræðum og iðnaði. Það er nú orðið virkt á ný og hægt er að skoða ISIRWiki á vef ISIR.
