IIIM Awarded Quality Label for Cluster Management Excellence

In less than two years of operations the Icelandic Institute for Intelligent Machines is proud to have been awarded the European Bronze Label of Cluster Management Excellence.
Over 100 business clusters participated in the survey resulting in the awarding of the Excellence Label to IIIM.

Summary of Workshop on Self-Programming, 2011 (AGI-11, Google, CA.)

On Thursday, August 4, IIIM organized a workshop on self-programming in AGI systems at the Fourth Conference on Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) in Google’s headquarters, Mountain View, CA. The workshop featured presentations by seven authors on the subject of self-programming systems and a panel discussion among the participants.

The HUMANOBS Workshop is focused on the impending paradigm shift from constructionist to constructivist methodologies for building artificial intelligence. Constructionist refers to traditional top-down software design, which places serious limitations on scaling, while Constructivist refers to self-organizing systems that manage their own growth.
